Who are the American Legion Riders?
The American Legion Riders at Northville, part of Lloyd H. Green Post 147, bring together motorcycle enthusiasts who share a commitment to supporting veterans, their families, and the broader community. They participate in patriotic parades, charity rides, and community service projects throughout the year.
The Northville Riders are active in fundraising efforts — including the Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to children of fallen military personnel. Their presence enhances the camaraderie and outreach of Post 147, making meaningful contributions to both the local and veterans’ communities.

The Riders Creed
iders dedicate themselves to the success of the American Legion. I know that through my efforts I can make a difference.

Significance of Our Emblem
The American Eagle, wings spread and ready for flight, symbolizes the Americanism and core values of the Legion — along with the sense of freedom and camaraderie cherished by ALR members.
At the heart of the eagle sits the Legion’s own emblem. This placement signifies the close relationship and shared philosophy between the Legion and the Riders — a unified design highlighting the mission and values that bind them together.
